Community During Tense Times

Aug 30, 2020    Ben Talmadge    Romans 13:1-7

We will continue this Sunday in our series "Community during Tense Times." Those to whom Paul wrote in the church at Rome not only experienced internal tension because of their personal differences, but they also experienced external tension from the governing authorities who were by no means sympathetic toward them. And so Paul instructs them in Romans 13:1-7 how to live in harmony with those who rule over them. In a time where we are feeling the presence of government more than usual, due to ongoing COVID mandates and an upcoming election, we too need to hear Paul's words on how to be the church in relation to our governing authorities.
