Chasing Eternity: Life and Death
Below are some helpful ways to pray for unbelievers. This list has been taken from an article by Tim Challies on his blog (https://www.challies.com/).
Prayers for Unbelievers
1. That God would circumcise their hearts (Deuteronomy 30:6)
2. That would God would give them a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 11:19)
3. That God would put his Spirit in them (Ezekiel 36:27)
4. That they would come to Christ (Matthew 11:28-30)
5. That God would open their hearts to believe the gospel (Acts 16:14)
6. That God would free them from the slavery of sin (Romans 6:17)
7. That God would remove Satan’s blinding influence (2 Corinthians 4:4)
8. That God would grant them repentance (2 Timothy 2:25-26)
Prayers for Us
1. That we will develop relationships with unbelievers (Romans 10:14)
2. That we will have opportunities to minister to unbelievers (Matthew 5:16)
3. That we will pray for unbelievers faithfully and persistently (Colossians 4:2)
4. That we will have a burden to plead for their souls (Romans 10:1)
5. That we will have boldness in taking opportunities to speak the gospel (Ephesians 6:19)
6. That they would encounter other believers in addition to us (1 Corinthians 3:6)
